Their study of Chinese Martial Arts began in 1995 at the Chinese Shao-lin Center in Boulder Colorado under Master David Soard. Studying a rotating curriculum of internal / external Chinese traditional martial arts styles. This extensive program included weapons, empty hand forms, sparring and conditioning.
Realizing their interests lay in the internal martial arts. Studying chi gong and related practices from Healing Tao instructor Michael Hamilton they gained new perspectives and ideas. At this time they began their training under Marcus Brinkman, Senior Student of Luo De Xiu. Through private instruction, intense dedication and training they were appointed class leaders providing instruction for Marcus’s class. After a period of supervised instruction, it was time to form a school of their own in Boulder.
